End of Summer Shopping Trip / Make-Over Day
By the end of camp, your daughter will lose weight and will
need some new clothes. We take the girls on a shopping trip
to pick out new outfits that they can wear for their big
“makeovers.” After picking out new outfits, they will get their
hair styled and make-up done (if they’re old enough) by our
professionals. Outfitted in new clothes, proud of their new hairdos,
manicures, pedicures and new make-up (if appropriate), it’s off
to closing ceremonies.
Independence Day!
All girls have the opportunity to attend a large community 4th
of July Celebration that occurs at the university amphitheater.
This family oriented, fun filled day of celebration will be
remembered as one of their unique Turlock experiences. CCF
also has a big 4th of July BBQ including events such as egg
tosses, three legged races, and water balloon games.
American Cancer Society: Relay for Life
Camp California Fitness supports the American Cancer Society
and participates in the annual Relay for Life. Relay for Life
is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate cancer
survivorship and raise money for research and programs for
The American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people
gather on the university campus and take turns walking or running
laps. Each team keeps at least one team member on the track
for 24 straight hours.
Relay for Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will
never be forgotten, those who face cancer will be supported,
and one day, cancer will be eliminated. Teams come together
to build community spirit, to honor loved ones and fight cancer,
and have fun in the process. In this light, camp attendees are
reminded that obesity can kill, but it can also be overcome with
education, hard work and commitment.
